Using WOOD for building Docks & Related Outdoor Structures

PRESSURE TREATED WOOD DOCK

For many decades, pressure treated wood has enjoyed an outstanding reputation for proven performance and ability to withstand attack from insects, rot and fungal decay.  It is also the most cost-effective building material.  In most all cases we use a solid 1-1/2” (one and a half inch) thick decking board to provide a long life.

Pressure treated wood provides a warm, natural look that blends beautifully with the landscape.  Cleaning and sealing this type of material every few years will be the key to longevity.
