MATT BIO:
I grew up around Lake Wylie. My father first took me to work with him at Lake Wylie Marina when I was about 5 years old. I remember taking naps in the cabin cruisers in the showroom and later at Tega Cay Marina where I used to swim around the boat ramp basin chasing Bluegill. When I was 12 or 13 he took me with him to build docks. I started working full time during summers when I was 14 and continued until the summer I graduated high school.
The October after graduation I went into the US Air Force and eventually worked as a C-130 Crew Chief. I traveled around the world spending most of my temporary duty in northern Italy. After leaving the Air Force in 1997 I returned to work with building docks. My primary duties have been site supervisor and lead carpenter but since we are a relatively small company I have learned many other skills.
I dedicated my life to Jesus Christ in 1999 and have been amazed and blessed by how God works in my life and in those around me. My wife, Chris and I have been married since 2002 and we have a 3 year old son, Caedmon. We live in Indian Land about 5 miles from the office and my parents house. I continue to learn and grow in my duties with company and look forward to where the Lord leads us in the future.
